About Rummy Odyssey
One of Coppercod’s most requested games, Rummy Odyssey (Rummy, or Straight Rummy) is a classic quick-fire card game for two to four players. Simple to learn and addictive to play, it is perfect for unwinding with repeated games.
To win Rummy, you must score more points than your opponents. The winner is the first to exceed the target score, either 200 or 500.
You can customise Rummy Odyssey to make it the perfect game for you. Choose your win target, choose the number of players, choose a stock reset option (reset, shuffle or block rummy), set whether you must lay down a meld before laying off and choose your play level - easy or hard.
You can further customise the game by turning on Rummy Bonus, which awards the winner of the hand double points if they manage to get rid of all of their cards in the same turn.
It takes real skill to beat the AI opponents on hard mode with their perfect memory.
Rummy Odyssey is a fun, competitive and quick to learn card game, but it will take time to master. Are you ready to take it on?

Quickfire Rules
A hand is made up of ten cards if you are playing with two players, or seven cards if playing with three or four. The aim is to combine cards into melds in order to get rid of all your cards from your hand. A player wins a hand by laying down all of their cards. Face cards are worth 10 points and all other cards are worth their value.
Rummy Odyssey Terms
Rummy: A player has ‘gone Rummy’ when all cards in a player’s hand are melded, laid off or discarded in one turn.
Deadwood: Deadwood is the sum of card values in a player’s hand.
Meld: A meld is three or more cards in a set (cards of the same kind) or run (consecutive cards of the same suit), face up on the table.
Laying off: Adding a card or cards to a meld face up on the table.
Stock: The deck of cards where players can draw cards from.
Discards: The face up card pile players can lay a card onto at the end of their turn that the next player can draw from.
Strategy Tips
- Keep options open: prefer flexible cards (5-9) that extend multiple runs.
- Track discards: avoid drawing cards opponents are feeding; watch what they keep.
- Late-hand defense: if you can’t go out, raise opponents’ deadwood by blocking obvious runs.
- Don’t hoard forever: meld earlier if an opponent looks close to going out.
- In Block Rummy, manage deadwood ruthlessly - dump 10s and face cards early.
